Case Study: Transforming The Little Museum of Dublin with AVITUC's Innovative Solutions
About the Client
Situated on St. Stephen’s Green, The Little Museum of Dublin celebrates the vibrant history and culture of the city through engaging exhibitions and artefacts. As a cherished cultural attraction, the museum is undergoing a complete refurbishment to elevate the visitor experience and continue its mission of education and inspiration.

Project Requirements
During the refurbishment, The Little Museum of Dublin enlisted AVITUC to deliver two key audiovisual (AV) solutions:
Interactive Digital Signage
Installation of digital signage in two prominent areas, with one display featuring a motion-activated sensor. This sensor was designed to trigger content as visitors passed by, creating a dynamic and interactive experience.
Immersive Projection Space
The design and implementation of an immersive projection experience within a small, challenging room. The space presented several obstacles, including a protruding fireplace and various obstructions on every wall. A high-quality sound system was also required to complement the visual elements as well as triggering for the exit door and lighting.
Our Approach
Digital Signage with Sensor Activation

- Designed custom projection techniques to work around the fireplace and various wall obstructions, ensuring a seamless viewing experience.
- Integrated a bespoke sound system to enhance the immersive nature of the projection.
- Conducted thorough testing to achieve synchronisation between visual and audio elements, ensuring a cohesive and engaging experience.
Seamless Project Management and Collaboration
- Collaborated with multiple contractors, including specialists in lighting, building works, architecture, automatic doors, and engineering.
- Liaised consistently with the museum’s project managers to ensure AV solutions integrated smoothly with the broader refurbishment plan.
- Carefully coordinated timelines and installations to minimise disruption and maintain efficiency throughout the project.
